What Is The Medicine? Embracing Who and What as One
A Community Circle with Dr. Duncan GradyFriday, October 3rd | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PMIn-Person Event | Vancouver, BC
Join us for a meaningful morning of learning, reflection, and community connection with Dr. Duncan Grady, Elder and educator, as we explore the deeper question: What is the medicine? Through the lens of the Indigenous Medicine Wheel, Duncan will guide us in considering that medicine may not only be what's in the cup—but also what already lives within us.
Schedule
- 9:00–10:30 AM – Talk by Dr. Duncan Grady: What Is The Medicine? Embracing Who and What as One
- 10:30–11:30 AM – Open Q&A and community discussion
- 11:30 AM–1:00 PM – Casual social space & light snacks
About the Talk
Our mind often tells us that the “medicine” is the substance in the cup. But from a mystical and Indigenous perspective, the medicine may in fact be something that already exists—alive and present—within the person receiving it. In this talk, Dr. Grady will invite us to explore how sacred plants interact with the inherent medicine in our own minds, spirits, emotions, and bodies, as understood through the four elements of the Medicine Wheel.
Dr. Grady’s visit is an invitation to slow down, gather meaningfully, and center Indigenous wisdom in both personal and professional realms.
Tickets
- General admission: $99 + tx
