Kokedama or "moss ball" is a Japanese, isan ancient, minimalist gardening technique where a plant's root system is wrapped in mud and moss, then bound with string to form a sculptural, pot-free display. Often called "Japanese string gardens," these living, artistic creations can be placed on trays or suspended in the air.
