We’ve all heard “a government for the people by the people.” But what does this really mean?In partnership with the Princeton Public Library, we're pleased to present the third program in our So You Think You Know Civics? Series: What is Civic Participation?
Our speaker, Hyacinth Miller, is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Rutgers University - Newark School of Arts and Sciences, Africana Studies and Political Science Departments.
Professor Miller will lead an interactive discussion about what it means to participate in our civic system, exploring how we currently contribute and can work to make change for everyone in our communities.
This FREE event is hybrid—it will be held in-person in Morven’s Stockton Education Center and virtually via Zoom webinar. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link: https://www.morven.org/upcoming/civics2024
So You Think You Know Civics? is supported by the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
