About this Event

We are delighted to bring together an inspiring line-up of speakers who will explore how architecture, landscape and material innovation can contribute to a more sustainable and regenerative built environment.

Martin Stockley, Design Midlands Panellist and passionate advocate for sustainable engineering, will share his experience of designing and building his own home in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, demonstrating how innovative thinking and environmental responsibility can shape the places we live.

Andy Roberts, Manchester-based Landscape Architect, author and advocate for sustainable urbanism, will reflect on his work with Planit-ie, exploring how landscape-led development, urban greening and regenerative approaches can create healthier, more resilient towns and cities.

We will also welcome Ken Graham, Sustainability Manager at Solus Ceramics, also based at EH Smith, will discuss his research into reducing embodied carbon in construction materials and the opportunities for making more environmentally responsible choices across the building industry.

Together, our speakers will challenge us to think beyond simply reducing the environmental impact of development and consider the ambitious question: What if every time we built something, we made the world better?
