A broad look at issues affecting women, not covered elsewhere during Labour Conference, co-hosted by Labour MPs and Peers*
About this Event

What do Women Need from the Labour Manifesto?

The meeting will have a broad scope and introduce topics and viewpoints which may not be covered elsewhere during Labour conference, such as the Nordic Model, the push for commercial surrogacy, the need to name women in maternity and childcare policies, the conflict of rights between self ID and the single-sex exceptions, arguments against making misogyny a hate crime, how gender ideology's redefinition of sexual orientation erases Lesbians and the ever present threat to abortion rights....

Support our freedom to discuss these issues in a respectful atmosphere.

Labour Women’s Declaration supports the Labour Party’s manifesto commitment to women’s sex-based rights as set out in the Equality Act 2010. Thousands of members have agreed with us and signed our Declaration.

Chair: Tonia Antoniazzi MP

Speakers panel includes:

Dame Diana Johnson MP - Why we should adopt the Nordic model to tackle the commercial sexual exploitation of women

Marsha De Cordova MP - Why women's sex-based rights are important in relation to the protected characteristics of disability, religion and belief.

Labour councillor - The fear that women like me feel about speaking publicly about sex and gender issues

Cllr Nina Killen - Maternity services, childcare and the naming of women and girls in policy

Dr Judith Green - Woman's Place UK - Self-ID and the single-sex exceptions

Paula Boulton - Lesbian Labour - The battle for lesbian only space

Karen Ingala Smith - co founder, Femicide Census - Defending women's spaces (and being refused Labour Party membership)

Joan Smith - Why making misogyny a hate crime won't help women
