Every business spends to win customers, sets a price, and works to keep them. Which of the three is actually paying off? Most owners cannot say for certain, and that is the gap this session closes.
This is a hands-on working session. You will work on your own numbers and leave with something you can act on the same week. Gavan Acton takes a higher-level pass over the three areas that decide whether a business compounds:
- Marketing measurement. Telling the campaigns that created demand from the ones that just collected demand you already had, and how to test the difference against your own spending.
- Pricing. Setting your number from the value you create for the customer rather than from your own costs, and deciding what you will never discount.
- Retention and lifetime value. Spotting the customers who are about to leave months before they go, and working out what each one is actually worth to you.
It is built for owners and the people who run their numbers. You do not need a data team or new software to use any of it.
Gavan spent fifteen years building the data function at Digital Extremes, growing it from one person to seventeen across Warframe and a player base above 80 million. He came to data from engineering, as a C++ and AI programmer on titles including Halo 4, with an M.Sc. in artificial intelligence. He now runs Stivot from Sault Ste. Marie, working with established businesses on the data and decisions behind growth.
