Labour Weekend trip to the North Islands original "best" crag; the beautiful Whanganui Bay. Camping is down at the lake in a designated area. 4WD is advisable to get all the way down the road but there is a "top carpark" for 2WD. There is a registration requirement and charge of to climb here. Go to the ACAT website. https://whanganuibay.acat.org.nz/

This will be a busy time at Whanganui Bay so if you can set up camp early that would be a good idea.
You must be 18 or have a parent/guardian accompany you. We can help you with your climbing but you need to be self sufficient for your camping, cooking etc.
Taking the minimum number of vehicles down reduces our footprint down there.
