WHANAU DAY NZ Embassy, JUNE 28 2026

We’re planning a great family get-together on June 28 for expat Kiwis and supporters. Whanau Day has become a regular event on the Kia Ora DC Kiwis social calendar, including a sausage sizzle, lolly scramble, gumboot throwing, sack-racing, and other activities.

This year’s event, on June 28 from 12 pm to 4pm, will be at the New Zealand Embassy in Observatory Circle NW, Washington DC. The new NZ Ambassador, Mr Chris Seed and his wife will be in attendance and look forward to meeting some local kiwis.

The Ticket price will be $30 for Adults amd $15 for kids aged 5-15 (Under 5 year olds are free). There will be a limit on numbers so please book early.
