Literary Arts are Alive and Well at WHAM with our expansion of our Literary Arts Program to now include WRITE CLUB. Write Club is a show that is produced by Jonathon Rios and is finding a home at the WHAM Arts complex! Jonathan Rios comes to us from the LA Write Club to develop a Phoenix version. Write Club is: - 3 rounds - 6 Writers - 2 Opposing topics (up vs down, native vs visitor, beach vs museum) - 7 minutes on the mic. Think literary blood sport (with no actual bloodshed). The Writer’s class/Combatant’s training will guide and set you up for success should you decide to throw your hat into the arena and step up to the mic. WHAM’s Write Club training classes are the Wednesday January 11 6-8pm at WHAM. Each class is designed to give you instruction on how to write and perform your narrative to join in on a quarterly WRITE CLUB COMPETITION, or come to enjoy the readings. $10 at the door.
