South Pier: 17km (For the longer 17km hike, there’s a section where the road is damaged, and we’ll cross on the beach at low tide, where you’ll need to remove your shoes or walk in aqua shoes.)

Whaling Station: Grade 1 (Easy)
South Pier: Grade 2 (Moderate, due to distance and walking on sand)
Optional climb to the Whale Watching Deck (approx. 340 steps)

Whaling Station: 3 hours (excluding breaks)
South Pier: 5 hours (excluding breaks)

Weather:
This event will go ahead rain or shine! Only extreme weather (heat, hail, or heavy rain) will postpone the event. A little rain won't hurt, and it keeps the bugs away!
Important:
We need a minimum of 20 confirmed bookings for the event to proceed. If the quota isn’t met, the event will be cancelled, and refunds will be processed. No refunds for ‘no shows.’
Well-behaved pooches are welcome!
Grading of Hikes:
Grade 1: Easy. Minimal fitness required
Grade 2: Moderate fitness recommended
Grade 3: Moderate. Physical fitness advisable
Grade 4: Strenuous. Physical fitness essential
Grade 5: Very strenuous – high level of fitness essential
