🌊 Join Us for an Exciting Evening with the Benckhuysens! 🌊Set sail with Lisa and Henk Benckhuysen as they share their incredible journey through Indonesia aboard their modified 1985 Express 37, Harlequin. This dynamic duo navigated the vibrant waters from Torres Strait to Singapore, capturing stunning photos and unforgettable memories along the way. 🌏✨
- Unique Route: Unlike the usual Indonesian Rally, they sailed independently, ensuring a unique and personal adventure.
Daytime Sailing: To avoid unlit vessels and debris, they sailed only during the day.
- Cultural Immersion: Spent time exploring the bustling city of Jakarta.
- Spectacular Wildlife: Encountered whales, waterspouts, fishermen, and even dragons!
About the Benckhuysens: Henk and Lisa’s sailing journey began in childhood and evolved into a family adventure with their kids. From homeschooling on a Beneteau 310 to upgrading to Harlequin, their story is one of passion, perseverance, and exploration. After years of cruising the Pacific, they now plan to continue their voyage in Malaysia and Thailand.
