Whacks Vinyl & Drums Presents Boos & Brews Live Dance Party

The Ottawa-Toronto DJ duo presents Boos & Brews - A Halloween themed dance party at Art House (555 Sommerset Ave) featuring DJ Akeem Oh and live drummer Mat Landry.

Join us for a night of music, dancing, Halloween themed drinks by Art House, costume prizes, and of course, tricks and treats.

Boos & Brews is presented by Whacks Vinyl & Drums with Art House and Cameron's Brewing Company, in association with Oh My and Eights. Prizes for best Halloween costumes generously provided by Cameron's Brewing Company and The Record Centre. Boos & Brews is part of Art House's Haunted Cat House.

Whacks Vinyl & Drums has been an on-going project for musicians Akeem Oh & Mat Landry. Using vinyl, drums and impressive visuals as their vehicles, they converse between modern & retro hits.

Oh’s vinyl and musical expertise has been widespread across his industry over the years as a DJ, a singer/songwriter and as a seller at Ottawa's The Record Centre. He's also had a hand in the making of several vinyl records for many artists and labels. Landry’s drumming has been heard on recordings and on stages internationally across Europe & North America. In Summer 2022, he toured with ELIO, opening several dates for modern pop icon Charli XCX.

Individually, they have worked alongside Grammy & Juno winners, pulling influence from various genres including 60s soul, 90s r&b, as well as pop hits and pop gems of the current era.
