This wellness fair is in memory of a friend that passed way from heart disease. Discussion Panels, Health screenings, cooking demos.
This event is hosted by Wanna Go Fit LLC in memory of a friend who passed January 2022 from cardiac arrest. He was in his mid 40's when he passed. Our goal is to shed awareness about general good health, wellness and self-care. See news article from previous event .

Cheryl E. Davis, DMD, PLLC
Cheryl Elise Davis was born in Moscow, Idaho to the parents of William Conan and Ocia Jenkins
Davis.
Upon graduation from Judson High School, she attended Our Lady of the Lake University,
where she was a Student Representative for the College of Arts and Sciences and graduated
with BA in Biology/Chemistry. While attending OLLU, she participated in cross-campus
research--MBRS Fellowship Program.
A special EPA Research Fellowship from the US Environmental Protection Agency was an
added incentive to attend Prairie View A&M University to pursue a Master of Science degree
in Environmental Toxicology.
She became a research assistant in the Department of Microbiology at UTHSCSA “The
Dectection of Luekemia”; and later a research assistant at the University of Alabama at
Birmingham working on “The genetic manipulation of HIV.” In dental school she studied “The
phylogeny of plasmid-containing S. mutans strains from American Blacks,” was presented at
the IADR Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois and graduated with the Doctor of Dental Medicine
degree, (DMD) June, 1995.
She was commissioned in the USAF, stationed at Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, TX and Kadena AFB,
Okinawa, Japan. Upon discharge, she held an Associateship with Dr. Joe B. Whitley and an
adjunct Professor at Northwest Vista Community College before accepting the position of
Contract Dentist at the Correctional Health Services/Bexar County Jail.
On November 1, 2006 she opened her office, Cheryl E. Davis, DMD, PLLC, Family Dentistry, 210
Chestnut Street, San Antonio, TX 78202 in Historic Ellis Alley Enclave, San Antonio, Texas.
A member of several organizations, ADA (San Antonio District Dental Society), TBWSA and
AAUW. A Board member of San Antonio Christian Dental Clinic, Chrysalis Ministries and South
Texas Oral Health (STOHN). A member of San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and South
Chamber of Commerce and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.

Fatima Keys M. A, LPC, LCDC has always had a passion with helping others
with life struggles. She gained experience by providing counseling for
underserviced populations while she obtained her bachelor’s in psychology in
1999. However, in 2013 and after Fatima started working through her own life
struggles, she received her masters and professional licensures to start
professional counseling services independently. Fatima understands her
clients' challenges, such as how it feels to desire isolation because of
depression; how it feels to be burnt out because of work; and how to want to
avoid life because of anxiety, or feelings of uncontrollable.

Fatima also has experience in working with clients in crisis situations including
but not limited to home, work, and school. She also has done diagnostic
testing for the mental health authorities, spoke at conferences providing

professional case management. She works with individuals, children, couples,
and families. She is a mother, wife and a Zumba/ HIIT fitness instructor that
advocates for physical health and wellbeing in all areas of life.

Dr. Sullivan is an author, encourager, mentor, motivator, preacher, purposeful living life coach, conference/public speaker, and teacher. She is an ordained pastor and the founder of Walk In It Ministries.
Dr. Sullivan has a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, Baylor University; a Master of Arts degree in administration, Central Michigan University; and a Doctor of Education degree in pastoral counseling, Argosy University. She served as a commissioned
officer in the United States Air Force Nurse Corps as a Certified Mental Health Nurse.
She has over forty years of professional experience. Dr. Sullivan held executive and senior manager positions in Texas’s state agencies, including the Texas Department of Human Services, the Health and Human Services Commission, and the Texas
Department of State Health Services.
Dr. Sullivan retired in 2022 and recently returned to the city of her birth, San Antonio, Texas. She released her first book in the fall of 2023, Keep It Moving: Live in Alignment with God’s Purpose and Plan for Your Life with a Chronic Medical Condition.

Troya Patterson is a BSN, RN, Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, Anemia, Access and
Adequacy Manager for DaVita Dialysis
I have been in the specialty of dialysis for 33 years starting off as administered
assistance, patient care technician, LVN and now RN. I supervise and perform direct patient care including but not limited to taking and monitoring vital signs, initiation and termination of dialysis, documentation, physical assessment of patients and patient treatments, taking and transcribing of physician’s orders, drawing and documenting of ordered laboratory work. Notes signs of trauma, patients’ general physical and mental condition, reviews dialysis orders, documents observations in patient medical records.
Analyzes patient assessments, laboratory data and, when concerns are noted, brings
issues to the attention of the physician. As well as communicating all emergencies,
patient life-threatening complications and related incidents. Assesses patient and family
learning readiness and provides appropriate information on renal disease, prescribed
dialysis treatment, and medical regimen and its impact on the patient’s state of health
and well-being.
Provides dialysis therapy, including but not limited to formulating dialysis plan per
physician orders, weight and rate of ultrafiltration, verifying safety measures are in place
and complied with, administering medications or other appropriate treatments,
discontinuing dialysis according to established procedure, documenting all activity
appropriately. Instruct patients on pre-and post-dialysis care. Administers patient quality care in a considerate, respectful manner. Participates in the development and
implementation of the patient’s short and long-term plan of care and monthly progress
note. Supervises day-to-day work of Social Workers, Dietician, Administered
Assistance, PCTs, LVNs and RNs.
EFREM DEHUGHES, LCSW
Efrem DeHughes has over 17 years of experience in a variety of settings and diverse
clients including both long term and brief interventions. Efrem is a Psychotherapist-
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Texas. Efrem graduated from the
University of Texas at San Antonio with both his graduate degree in Social Work and his
undergraduate degree in Sociology. Efrem began working in the field of public service at
Job Corps of San Diego, California in the early 2000’s as a Residential Dorm Advisor. Efrem has prior service military in the U.S. Army as a combat medic. He has worked in the field of social service: a residential advisor, childcare worker, case manager, CNA-certified nursing assistant, treatment house parent, client coordinator, co-occurring/dual diagnosis group facilitator, social work supervisor and psychotherapist/clinical social worker. Efrem’s years of experience in the public service arena includes working within the fields of children and families, veterans, substance abuse/addictions, homelessness, mental/behavioral health and within the criminal justice system. Efrem has also participated extensively with various volunteer projects within the community.
