The main event is an International Space Station downlink where students will have their questions answered LIVE by THREE of the astronauts on-board.
The WEX Space Fest 2021 planned events (subject to change) include:
*A Space Parade complete with a trophy for Best Spaced-out Vehicle
*ISS downlink with NASA astronaut Megan McArthur, NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough and ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet
*In Person Keynote with Dr. Josef Schmid, NASA Flight Surgeon w/ Q&A
*A Panel of Boeing engineers working on ISS projects w/ Q&A
*A Space Entrepreneurship workshop
*A Mission Patch Design Art Competition
*Hands-on activities with partner organizations (booths).
'*Earn a digital badge for attending
We want to engage as many youth as possible in the experience, both virtually and face to face.
If you'd like to bring a group of 6th-12th grade students to the face-to-face event please email Joules Webb at [email protected] of your interest.
Attend in person for the best experience, swag, snacks and lunch.
