About this Event

Join us for a fascinating walk and learn how these remarkable amphibians help control insect populations, serve as an important food source for wildlife, and act as indicators of environmental health.
NOTE: Children 17 and below must be accompanied by an adult.




Physical Information
The walk will involve encounters with submerged roots and cypress knees. If you need assistance to walk, have trouble walking, or have poor balance, this walk is not for you. The water level may exceed four feet.
The participant(s) will be required to sign a waiver on the day of the event.
Dress Code
An appropriate dress for the walk is long pants and tennis shoes. Long pants are required and tennis shoes are suggested. Shorts, flip flops, open shoes, crocs, boots, shorts, and waders are not allowed.




Member: a person who has an annual paid membership with the Friends Organization at the time of the order and wet walk date.

Become a member of the Friends of Six Mile Cypress to be eligible for a discounted ticket.
Students 18 and above will be offered a free one-year Friends membership when participating in a wet walk
