Wet-Felted Pumpkin Workshop 🎃
Celebrate autumn with a cozy, hands-on afternoon of wet felting!
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to transform soft wool fibers into beautiful, three-dimensional felted pumpkins using the traditional resist method. This technique allows us to create a hollow, seamless form using only wool, warm water, soap, and a little patience.
Lisa willl guide you step by step through laying out your wool, working around a resist, felting and shaping your pumpkins, and adding the finishing touches that give each one its own personality. During our three-hour workshop, you’ll create two pumpkins, one small and one large. Choose from an assortment of autumn-inspired wool colors and make yours traditional, rustic, whimsical, or completely unexpected.
No previous felting experience is necessary. This is a relaxed and creative workshop designed for beginners as well as anyone who simply loves working with their hands.
Lisa Lombardi is a passionate artist whose creativity is fueled by her love of working with her hands and exploring the world. Having traveled to more than 25 countries, she discovered the art of Batik in Indonesia, where she learned directly from local craftsmen and fell in love with the ancient process of painting with wax and dye.
Her journey with felting began years earlier during her Waldorf Teacher training, where she was introduced to needle felting as a way to create puppets for storytelling. From there, she expanded into wet felting and felting on felt exploring the endless possibilities of wool as a medium.
Whether through the vibrant colors of Batik or the tactile, transformative nature of felting, Lisa hopes to inspire others to spend more time creating, connecting with their own creativity, and building meaningful connections with the people around them.
Classes are non-refundable because we have limited space and the artists need to prepare. You can find another person to take your seat if you are unable to attend.
