Wet and Needle Felted Wool Painting with Justine Heinrichs
Saturday, February 27: 9 am-5 pm
This workshop is a fun exploration of painting with wool using wet felting, needle felting, merino wool and gorgeous locks! Participants will create a scene of sheep in a field with a border collie suitable for hanging. Our first half of the day will focus on laying out fibers and wet felting. The second half of the day will complete the picture with needle felted details. Students will learn how to lay out fibers for wet felting and wet felting techniques with wool, silk and locks, how to use felting needles to achieve different effects and how to blend colors by hand to create different values and the expression of light and reflection. Additional materials fee of $30 is due to the instructor at the beginning of class. Students need to bring 2 towels and a change of clothes... You may get wet during wet felting!
