Join us for our first annual Mardi Gras Celebration at Westside! With 3 talented bands on the line-up, cajun yummies, vendors, live art by Dump LA Rock and a masseuse, there's no other place you'd rather spend your Sunday! Scoop up your tickets and prepare to laissez ls bon temps rouler! Feel free to dress up. Napkins will be thrown, beads will be caught.


Bad Cactus Brass Band has been bringing joyful second line beats, unstoppable funk grooves, and New Orleans street jazz to the Phoenix metro since 2009. With trumpets, saxophone, trombones, sousaphone, marching drums, and plenty of singing and shouting, their stage show is a boisterous, high-energy party. They play at nightclubs, festivals, weddings, funerals, and anywhere else that music can make a difference. The band has toured the southwest, released four albums, opened for major New Orleans acts, and created festivals.

Lee Lambert is a trumpet player currently based in Phoenix, Arizona. In New Orleans, Lee has performed and worked alongside Johnny Vidacovich, Rodney Whitaker, Jason Marsalis, Ashlin Parker, Mark Braud and Bobby Broom. In addition, Lee recently recorded big band studio work with the NOLA Players featuring José Feliciano. He has also performed at the New Orleans’ Jazz Festival with Donald Harrison and the Tipitina’s Interns, as well as at Tipitina’s with David Batiste’s The Gladiators featuring Leo Nocentelli; furthermore, he has frequented with Muévelo at The Ace Hotel. Lee received his M.M. in Jazz Studies at the University of New Orleans with the tutelage of Victor Atkins and Brian Seeger, and earned his B.A. in Jazz Studies from Louisiana State University under Professor Doug Stone.
