During this hands on camp, young artists (grades K-6) will learn a variety of art techniques inspired by influential artists and cultural traditions. Campers will experiment with printmaking inspired by José Guadalupe Posada, create shadow boxes influenced by Frida Kahlo, decorate glass in the spirit of Einar and Jamex de la Torre, explore the colorful surf art of Heather Brown, and learn about traditional Hawaiian batik art.
Each project will give campers the chance to try a new technique, work with different materials, and create something uniquely their own. No previous art experience is needed. Just bring your creativity!
