Singers and music lovers! All are welcome to our new event created to support vocalists in an encouraging environment. We have a provided backing band to play for you. You are invited to Mississauga for our 4th West Vocal Jam featuring Mississauga’s very own Donovan Locke! Join us Monday, November 25 at 7pm at The Port House Social Bar & Kitchen in Port Credit.
Our featured artist, Donovan is a wonderful talent who will delight you with his Jazz vocal stylings and scatting. An active performer on Toronto's Jazz scene, Donovan can be seen singing at the TD Jazz Festival, Toronto’s Old Mill, The Jazz Bistro and more.
All vocalists will have the opportunity to play with our talented backing back including Peter Hill on keys with Pat Collins on bass.
All are welcome to perform! Due to demand, singers are advised to email [email protected] to pre-register in order to have a guaranteed performance spot. ALL ATTENDEES are welcome to pay-what-you-can in lieu of a cover charge. Suggested donation of $10.
ATTN: Singers - Singers are welcome to perform 1 song. Bring 2 lead sheets and the band will take it away. Please note - no sheet music or multiple pages.
West Vocal Jam is a special event celebrating music and community in honour of Mississauga’s 50th Anniversary. West Vocal Jam is supported by the Mississauga Arts Council’s Sauga Neighbourhood Arts Program as well as The Port House Social Bar and Kitchen.
The Port Social House is located at 139 Lakeshore Rd E, Mississauga, ON L5G 1E5.
COVID protocols: we will change our microphone coverings between each singer and sanitize. Location: - We are a 5 minute walk from the Port Credit GO Train Station and there is free parking available. - We are an 18 minute drive from downtown Toronto (when there’s no traffic).
