Gerald lives in Witney and is married to Barbara.
Before retirement in 2009 he was a vicar in Southampton. He was ordained in Canterbury Cathedral in 1995 having worked previously for various careers advisory services.
His only claim to fame was when, as a new curate in Folkestone, the media got hold of the fact that he’d written an album of worship songs which generated some short-lived media interest. The local headline, ‘That revving up gets ‘em rolling!’, accompanied by a photo of Gerald with his guitar, in an Elvis pose, caused some consternation for the church warden, but she got over it.
Gerald and Barbara love walking, and have two married clergy sons and seven grandchildren.
