West of Scotland League – Wednesday 4th February Fixtures!
Another huge Wednesday night of squash coming up for SSRC, with big matches, tight rivalries, and plenty on the line across the divisions!
Here’s how it’s shaping up:
🚗 Away Matches
1️⃣ 1st Team @ Newlands 1
A massive test for the 1s against a side sitting two places above us in the table. We edged this fixture earlier in the season with a strong 12–7 win — can we repeat the trick on their courts?
5️⃣ 5th Team @ Scotstoun 3
A tough one on paper with Scotstoun sitting 16 points ahead. We lost 15–4 last time, but a big result here (even dreaming of an 18–0 😏) would be huge for our title push!
6️⃣ 6th Team (Dad’s Army) @ Allander 4
The veterans go on the road against a team we beat 15–5 earlier in the season. With SSRC6 more than 20 points clear, they’ll be looking to show their class once again.
🏠 At Home
2️⃣ 2nd Team vs Western 2
Western currently sit 4th in the league and handed us a tough 17–5 defeat earlier in the season. Big chance for revenge in front of a home crowd.
3️⃣ 3rd Team vs Townend 2
One of the games of the night! Townend are right on our heels in the table and edged the first meeting 13–10. Expect tight battles and cracking squash across the board.
4️⃣ 4th Team vs Newlands 4
Two very evenly matched teams meet again after an 18–8 loss earlier in the season. A great opportunity for the 4s to turn the tables in what should be a closely fought contest.
Plenty of action at home — if you’re not playing, get down to support the teams, enjoy the atmosphere, and catch some top-quality squash!
