West Oakland Tabletop RPG Meetup

Join us for an evening of collaborative storytelling, dice rolling, and neighborhood adventure at Discover Community Café.

Hosted by Alex from Tenth Tale Games, this event brings together local players for tabletop roleplaying games led by experienced Game Masters. We have three tables this evening, each running a different one-shot adventure — pick the table you'd like to join when you grab your ticket.

This evening's tables:

⚔️ D&D 5e: Beginner One-Shot — Run by a beginner-friendly GM (announced soon). Designed for first-time RPG players; everything you need is provided.

🐉 D&D 5e: Level 5 One-Shot — Run by Kristina. For players with some D&D experience. Pre-built characters provided.

🏰 Mythic Bastionland: Beginner One-Shot — Run by Will. A knightly adventure in a haunted realm. A great intro to OSR-style play; no prior experience needed.

How It Works

• RSVP for the specific table you'd like to join — 5 seats per table.
• All tables start at the same time, so please plan to arrive a bit early to get settled in
• $10 cover at the door, split among the GMs. Eventbrite tickets are listed as free to avoid platform fees — we'll collect cover in person.
• Tables fill up — if your preferred game is full, join the waitlist and we'll let you know if a seat opens or if we add a table.
• Discover Community Café offers dinner, beer, and wine. Order before games start so the kitchen isn't slammed mid-session.

Community & Atmosphere

This event is part of the growing tabletop gaming community in West Oakland. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or curious to try your first RPG, our GMs will guide you through the rules and help you jump right into the story. Expect collaborative storytelling, memorable characters, and a welcoming table of fellow players. Our tables are welcoming to players of all backgrounds, identities, and experience levels. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Info: We’ll start the games right at 6pm so that you have plenty of time to enjoy the full adventure! The café closes at 9pm, so please make sure to start winding down accordingly.
