About your hosts:

• Dan Corcoran is a recognised startup mentor and advisor, supporting accelerators such as Betaden, WM5G Wayra, and university programmes at Warwick, Birmingham, and Aston. Dan has delivered hundreds of growth clinics and workshops, guiding founders on hiring strategies, scaling operations, and securing investment. His work has earned him awards, including CEO of the Year (SME News), and he is known for Founding Reedmace Talent - the only UK company that shows startups how to do their own hiring.

• Huw Sparkes is a seasoned Investment Manager at Future Planet Capital, specialising in early-stage and growth investments in the Midlands. He manages regional funds making investments of up to £2m, helping startups scale globally. With experience in startup advisory and venture capital, Huw also co-founded The Colmore Collective and mentors founders through national programmes, when he is not doing deals or sitting on boards.

• Sam Allen-Ralph is an Ecosystem Manager at Barclays Eagle Labs, committed to fostering innovation and collaboration within the entrepreneurial community. In this role, Sam builds strong relationships with founders, startups, and scale-ups, connecting them to the resources, expertise, and networks they need to succeed. Working closely with industry partners, mentors, and investors, Sam creates opportunities that accelerate growth and drive impact. Through curated events, workshops, and strategic introductions, Sam helps businesses navigate challenges and unlock their full potential.
