Celebrate Freedom, Community, and Culture!

This year, the West Hartford Juneteenth Committee, a partnership with Town of West Hartford's Community Engagement Office and RiseUP, is reimagining our annual celebration. Instead of a single weekend event, we are keeping the momentum going all month long with a four-part Block Party Series right in the heart of Blue Back Square!

Join us every Thursday evening in June to honor the history of Juneteenth, celebrate Black culture, and connect with our vibrant community. Each week will offer a unique, family-friendly experience designed to educate, inspire, and entertain.

What to Expect Each Week:

• Live Entertainment: Enjoy a rotating lineup of incredible local talent, including live music, spoken word poetry, and dynamic dance performances.
• Community Marketplace: Shop and support local! We will feature 10 exclusive vendor spaces each week, highlighting Black-owned businesses, local artisans, and community organizations.
• Family-Friendly Art Activities: Get creative with interactive, hands-on art projects for all ages, led by RiseUP and local artists.
• Education & Connection: Engage with community leaders and neighbors as we reflect on the significance of Juneteenth and our shared commitment to equity and inclusion.
