Celebrate Freedom, Community, and Culture!

This year, the West Hartford Juneteenth Committee, a partnership with Town of West Hartford's Community Engagement Office and RiseUP, is reimagining our annual celebration. Instead of a single weekend event, we are keeping the momentum going all month long with a three-night Block Party Series right in the heart of Blue Back Square!

Join us Thursday June 4th, 11th, and 18th from 6:00-7:30PM to honor the history of Juneteenth, celebrate Black culture, and connect with our vibrant community. Each week will offer a unique, family-friendly experience designed to educate, inspire, and entertain.

What to Expect Each Week:

• Live Entertainment: Enjoy a rotating lineup of incredible local talent, including live music, spoken word poetry, and dynamic dance performances.
• Community Marketplace: Shop and support local! We will feature 10 exclusive vendor spaces each week, highlighting Black-owned businesses, local artisans, and community organizations.
• Family-Friendly Art Activities: Get creative with interactive, hands-on art projects for all ages, led by RiseUP and local artists.
• Education & Connection: Engage with community leaders and neighbors as we reflect on the significance of Juneteenth and our shared commitment to equity and inclusion.
