Westies, you don’t want to miss this!!! The Spokane Swing Dance Club is honored to welcome Champion Demetre Souliotes aka “Meech” for an afternoon of workshops followed by an evening social dance.
Demetre is an internationally known, Champion dancer, teacher, judge, DJ, Event Director, Community Builder with over 25 years of helping shape and grow West Coast Swing.
Demetre Souliotes first found dancing at the age of 6 growing up in Los Angeles in the forms of Hip-Hop, Pop’n’Lock, and later House Dancing. He discovered West Coast Swing and has never looked back. He has been performing and competing professionally in the top division in the world, the Champions Division, for over 25 years. Demetre is a full time dancer based out of San Diego where he is co-founder of SD Westie and Westie Groove. He is a nationally sought after Teacher, Coach, Judge, DJ, Videographer and Mentor. He is one of a handful of current Champion Dancers who have helped shape what WCS is today. He’s also an Event Director of The After Party “TAP”, Austin Rocks and ULTRA Westie Fest.
1. Level Up - Using dynamic changes to base patterns to create advanced dancing and styling. 1:30-2:20
2. Hit, Hold, Here we go - Learning how to add Freezes in your WCS and the right way to prep out of them. 2:30-3:20
3. Rhythm and Fancy Feet - Rhythm solo warm up with footwork practice and fun footwork syncopations for each role. 3:30-4:30
Dinner break 4:30-6
Social dancing 6-9
Beginner’s lesson 6:45
All classes + social
$40 members, $55 non-members
A-la-Carte
