FULL WEDNESDAY CLASS SCHEDULE - West Coast Swing and Latin Classes:
6:30 - Adv Beginner / Open Level Bachata
6:30 - Adv Beginner West Coast Swing
7:30 - Adv Beginner Bachata
7:30 - BEGINNER WEST COAST SWING
7:30 - Level 2 West Coast Swing - requires lots of experience
** Things to know:
Social Dance Party each week after classes - included in classes
Drop-ins welcome, space permitting
No Partner Needed
Special Summer Rate - register by June 3rd!
$50 for 4 week session for 1 class a night (*regular $60)
$80 for 4 week session for 2 classes a night (*regular $90)
New Summer Teen/Tween Rate - ages 12 to 18 -
$40 for 1 class a night or $64 for 2 classes a night
(*must have an adult present at all times)
Drop-ins = $20 / 1 class / week or $25 / 2 classes / week
Limited spots and classes fill up quickly

WEEK 1 - June 10th
6:30 - Bachata Open Level - Adv Beginner and Above -with Luis Santiago -
prerequisites -please know basic, box step, right turn, left turn, open to closed, hammer-lock
6:30 - West Coast Swing 1.5 - Technique class - highly recommended for all WCS dancers in order to continue exploring important West Coast Swing elements & to help develop comfortable dancing on the social dance floor.
(*looking to move into this class, see the level 1 below and make sure you have trained in each of the the topics before moving into level 1.5)
prerequisites - please know basic passes, pushes, and 2 beat timing increments
week 1 - Why & how we triple in WCS - a deeper dive into clarity in your personal movement and partner connection
week 2 - Why we 8 count & Whip mechanics - focus on connection & timing
week 3 - Why we stop! Musical Landing points and how to stop and get going comfortably
week 4 - Why we rock! Expressing redirection!
7:30 - Salsa Open Level - Adv Beginner and Above - with Luis Santiago
prerequisites - please know basic, right turn, left turn, mambo step, cross-body lead, NY walk)
7:30 - West Coast Swing - Intro Level 1.0 - Beginner - All Levels -
TOPICS for LEVEL 1
week 1 - 8 count passes and pushes and groove
week 2 - outside and inside turns and partner communications
week 3 - why, how, & when we triple - timing and clarity - 6 count or 8 count
week 4 - intro to why, how, & when we 8 count - timing and clarity - whips etc
(*it is recommended that all new dancers take this course at least once and usually, people will need it 2 times unless actively practicing and going out social dancing or have prior dance experience).
7:30 - West Coast Swing Level 2.0 - usually at least 1 solid year of training in WCS
prerequisites - must have oodles of experience - please know whips, pushes, passes, tucks, slingshot, triples, 2 beat timing blocks, outside turn, inside turn
We ask that people can demonstrate these things without our assistance.
week 1 - let’s get started and play with our starter steps
week 2 - connection and clarity in turns
week 3 - playful communication ideas
week 4 - challenging sequence to ignite your passion
8:15 - 9:15 - Social Dance Parties - all welcome (*$5.00) for dance only
2 dance rooms // Latin Dance Floor and West Coast Swing Dance Floor
We strongly advise registering early as classes tend to fill up and we like to keep a balance of lead to follow in order to promote a great social dance experience. Plus, registering early allows you to take advantage of the early-bird discount, which expires on June 3rd
