Here's a little more on our line up...
JUSTIN PANKS MC
Top Stand Up Comedian Justin Panks brings a wonderfully skewed observational eye and the ability to approach seemingly everyday subjects from extraordinary angles. He makes the perfect balance between the relatable and the outrageous. His tales of relationships, fatherhood, and life in general are raw, honest, and above all very funny. Justin gives more laughs per minute than many of his fellow acts. A very funny comedian on the rise. See him now before he’s playing arenas! Not to miss
STEVE HARRIS HEADLINE
Steve has been a stand up comedian for over twenty years and burst on to the comedy scene by winning the coveted North West Comedian of the Year Award on his fifth ever gig. Shortly after, Steve earned his way to the final of the prestigious BBC New Comedy Award and So you Think You’re Funny Comedy Award. Throughout the years Steve has become a regular headliner at some of the most respected comedy clubs in the UK, and has done support slots for Johnny Vegas, Peter Kay and Lee Evans on their UK tours.
Steve’s confident, observational and physical performances have earned him international status as he has performed all over the world including performances for our British Troops in Afghanistan. Aside from comedy, Steve has deservedly earned TV credits on movies and shows like Funny Cow, Love, Lies and Records and most recently Coronation Street. The ability to make a range of audiences laugh and the talent to be versatile in front of a TV camera are not Steve’s only talents, he was once a lead singer/rapper in eighties/nineties rap band, First Offence and possesses musical talents and a keen mind for comedy writing.
ALEX BOARDMAN
Alex Boardman is now one of the most sought after acts in the country due to his ability to interact with any audience and to seemingly conjure something out of nothing. His free flowing style and natural charm breeze through in performances. His unique brand of “Flattery and abuse” is done with a lack of malice and a big sense of fun. “Alex was one of a small band of writers who worked on the second series of John Bishop’s Britain on BBC 1 and he made a significant contribution to it being the highest rated stand up show of 2011 bringing in six million viewers a week. He can turn material around quickly and has the great skill of enhancing existing ideas to make a show better rather than just wishing to force his own material which makes him a great collaborator” John Bishop
“Alex started stand up the year before me at the same dodgy backrooms and pubs in Manchester. He has gone on to be one of the most assured confident stand ups on the circuit and regularly plays all the top comedy clubs here and abroad. I employed him as a writer when I was on 8 Out of 10 cats, he is quality.” Jason Manford. “A great comic and a skilled writer” Sarah Millican.
