West African Dance Workshop with Deena
Sunday, February 1, 2pm-3pm at Third Street Music School
Come move, groove, and have fun with Miss Deena in this joyful introduction to West African dance!
Open to participants aged 6 and up of all experience levels, this class explores energetic rhythms, basic steps, and expressive movement in a welcoming, community-centered atmosphere.
No experience needed.
About:
West African dance is a vibrant, rhythmic art form rooted in tradition, community, and storytelling. Known for its powerful movements, grounded posture, and connection to live percussion, the dance celebrates history, expression, and cultural identity.
Our fantastic instructor, Deena Parrilla has studied West African dance for many years, and brings both deep knowledge and passion to her teaching, making it one of the styles she enjoys sharing most.
Open for all ages 6 and up.

Ticket Policy
- RSVPs are first-come, first-served.
- RSVPs are required of all attendees, including children. An adult must accompany all children.
- An RSVP does not guarantee a seat. Free events are oversold to accommodate drops.
- Same-day walkups will be accepted. Remaining seats will be released before the show starts, as space permits.

- Large items, including strollers and carts, are not permitted in the hall but can be left in the lobby at the owner's discretion. Third Street does not assume liability for any theft or damage.
