West African Dance:
Come explore and experience West African Dance! A time-honored expression with folkloric and practical meanings, embedded within its movements. We conduct a basic warmup session at the beginning of each class followed by learning the steps and execution of a particular dance ... all from the regions of Mali, Senegal, Gambia and Guinea West African. Thereupon we will arrange these steps into a sequence to tell the story of the respective dance. Classes are taught by TMS instructor Vanessa Gibbs and live drumming accompaniment by the group Soundz of Africa. OK. Anyone who signs up for the whole eight-week session will automatically receive a free official TMS T – Shirt! ... see you in class.
