Celebrate Black History Month by exploring the influences of West African food on the Salvador region in Brazil.
Looking for a unique way to spend a laid back Sunday afternoon? Why not treat yourself or surprise your loves with a unique cooking class. Be transported to the West African coast of the African continent as you sip on a cocktail of your choice from Salt City Bar, or on the purple-red hibiscus-ginger cocktail infused with spicy cloves and grains of selim and sweetened with cane sugar, while following along as Chef Kuukua, native of Ghana, West Africa instructs you in making traditional West African dishes. Won’t you join us in Salt City's Teaching Kitchen for this class? It promises to set you up for finishing off your weekend on a bright note. Come along for this curiosity filled adventure! Take home the colorful hand-sewn aprons made by Chef Kuukua and her partner.
*Menu will change each week and suggestions will be considered.
**Hand made, beautiful African print, aprons will be provided for $15 to take home after the class. If you wish not to purchase the apron, you may bring your own. Additional aprons will be available for $20 each. Consider supporting the small, Black and Female owned business.
