SLEEPY BEARS!!!
As part of our 10 year celebration we bottled some extremely special variants of our Sleepy Bear Imperial Stout. These are our oldest stock barrels that we have been saving for years in anticipation for a spacial time to release them.
Bourbon Barrel Aged 10 year Anniversary Sleepy Bear – 13.8% ABV
A blend of our Sleepy Bear imperial stout aged in 10 year Weller Wheated Bourbon Barrels for 2 years 9 months as well as 7 year Stagg Jr Bourbon Barrels aged for 1 year 11 months. These barrels are very special to us as we celebrate not only our 10 year anniversary but also 7 years brewing in our current space and taproom (See what we did there). Once blended we then rested the final stout on cacao nibs we roasted from Ghana and Ecuador.
Vanilla Rye Barrel Aged 10 year Anniversary Sleepy Bear – 13.4% ABV
We filled these 6 year Buffalo Trace Rye Barrels in early 2021 thus holding Sleepy Bear in them for 3 years and 4 months before packaging this past week. Once pulled from the barrels we then rested this stout on a blend of roasted cacao nibs from Ecuador and Uganda as well as Madagascar Vanilla.
Both Sleepy Bear Variants will be available Saturday June 22 at 11am on draft and 375mL bottles to-go
