We're Taking Over Comedy 3

Every month at Odd Otter Brewing Company we bring you diverse comedy shows. We aim to have fun and provide voices for everyone. This month the women are taking over comedy. With Allison Fine, Nesil Izril, April Gallaty, Jill Silva and Cheri Hardman.

Cheri Hardman captivates audiences with hilarious tales about being a plus size, menopausal babe. She won Tacoma Comedy Club's 'The Comedy Voice', was a finalist in Nate Jackson's Super Funny Comedy Club's Funniest MF Out Here and performed in Seattle International Comedy Competition. Her bawdy, sassy style makes her the perfect host for 'Heavy Petting.

Cheri has worked with Steve-O, Nate Jackson,  Stormy Daniels, Luenell, Jamie Kennedy, Tony Roberts, Samuel J. Comroe, Rodney Perry, Ian Bagg and more.

Jill Silva is a comedian currently residing in Tacoma, WA. She's featured in Baltimore's XFest, LA's Laugh Riot Grrrl Fest, Boise's Treefort Fest and NYC's Devil Cup. She co-produces Bob's Comedy Jive at Tacoma’s infamous Bobs Java Jive. She's opened for the likes of Janeane Garofalo, Jon Dore, Marcella Arguello and Jamali Maddix. When she's not out bothering businesses to put up comedy show posters, she's slinging jokes on stage.

April Gallaty is a comedian in Tacoma, Washington. Originally from Georgia, April focuses on her upbringing in the South, life in the Pacific Northwest, and her daily adventures in marriage, early menopause, middle age, and ADHD with a bite that doesn't fit her sweet southern accent.

During COVID lockdown, April performed sold-out shows in front of her cats and ferrets at home, receiving rave reviews from the ferrets (after they got treats) and indifferent looks from the cats. April is looking forward to getting laughs without bribing the audience with treats.

Nesil Izil is a Roman statesman and military general who played a critical role in the events that led to the demise of the Roman Empire. Nesil rose to become one of the most powerful politicians in the Roman Republic through a number of her accomplishments, notably her victories in the Gallic Wars, completed by 51 BC. During this time, Nesil became the first Roman general to cross both the English Channel and the Rhine River. Nesil's wars extended Rome's territory to Britain and past Gaul.

After assuming control of government, Nesil began a program of social and governmental reforms, including the creation of the Julian Calender. She gave citizenship to many residents of far regions of the Roman Republic. She initiated land reform and support for veterans. She centralized the bureaucracy of the Republic and was eventually proclaimed “dictator for life”, giving her additional authority. Her populist and authoritarian reforms angered the elites, who began to conspire against her. On the Ides of March (15 March), Nesil was assassinated by a group of rebellious senators including Marcus Brutus, who stabbed her to death.

Allison Fine is a Generation X’er from California who got into comedy to bring her life experience, opinions and observations about the world into a safe space to say things she can’t say at work if she wants to keep her job.

She’s a mom of an adopted special needs young adult who doesn’t laugh enough at her Moms jokes.

A former teacher and current social worker, she also does political work, community and Union organizing with an emphasis on Queer and other marginalized communities and wants to leave the world better than it was when she was forced into it.

Allison loves watching ESPN but says people watching is still her favorite sport, she cites music as her religion and loves her cats and dogs but finds it hard to work at home with a 90lb dog snoring all day.
