Wellspring Mother Artist Making Sessions

This Spring Wellspring: A Mother Artist Project will offer Saturday morning gatherings twice a month! Wellspring is a collective that believes that to flourish creatively, mother artists need moments of rest, contemplation, community, and freedom, supported within their process and rhythms.

Whether you're already in the midst of integrating your creative, motherly, and faith life, or have a desire to intersperse some creative time into your rhythm, this is a chance to gather with other women to do so. Whether you're a new mother or a grandmother, whatever your creative medium and impulses might be, this is a chance to find some respite amidst the busyness.

These making sessions will take place on the following Saturdays:

-February 25

-March 11

-March 25

-April 15

-April 29 (location TBD)

At each session, we'll begin with prayer, there will be materials provided for you to explore OR you can bring something you've been working on (or have wanted to work on!), you can walk the grounds, find moments of contemplation in the church, converse with others, enjoy some light refreshments.

Details:

Cost: $20 per session to cover materials, refreshments, etc

Time: 10-12pm

Where: St. Francis de Sales Parish, 4625 Springfield Avenue, Philadelphia, PA

Who is this for? New mothers to grandmothers, we'd love this to be an intergenerational space of motherly and artistic wisdom to be shared. And whatever your creative medium and impulses might be, this is not just for visual artists, calling all writers, dancers, musicians, fiber artists, cooks, quilters, knitters, all creative dabblers as well.
