Join the Town of Wells in honoring the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country during the 2026 Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony.The Wells Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 25, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM. The parade will step off from Wells High School and proceed down Sanford Road to Ocean View Cemetery, where a brief memorial ceremony will be held.
This year’s ceremony will honor brothers Elbridge and Leroy Hanson of Company I, 3rd Battalion, 39th Regiment, 4th Division, who were killed in action during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive in France in October 1918. Musical performances will be provided by Atlantic Harmonies and students from the Wells-Ogunquit Community School District.
Veterans and current members of the Armed Forces are invited to participate in the parade as we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation and recognize all who have served, past and present. All Veterans or current service members who wish to march in the parade will meet at the Wells Town Hall parking lot at 8:30 AM on May 25.
