Wellness Morning: Tea & Walk to Battersea Park

Community Corner is a service run by the NHS aiming to combat social isolation and help people to live well in their communities. Every Thursday at Violet Melchett we run activities to promote health and wellbeing.

Meet us at Violet Melchettvon the 9th May from 10:30am -12:30pm for a coffee morning and walk for 15/20 mins to Battersea Park. This is a great opportunity to get out and about, enjoy fresh air, some gentle exercise and to connect with the local community. Please note that this walk will be longer than those we have done in the past, but the pace will be gentle and we are open to everybody!

If you are not feeling up to a walk, or if the weather does not permit our winter wander, we will still be hosting the coffee morning at Violet Melchett.

Timetable:

• 10:30 am: Event starts at Violet Melchett, 30 Flood Walk, SW3 5RR. Hot drinks and refreshments will be served
• 11:15 am: We will start heading towards Battersea Park (a 15 minute walk from Violet Melchett)
• ≈11:35 am: Arrive at Battersea Park
• ≈12:30 pm: Activity comes to an end. Our Navigators and Voluneers will walk back to Violet Melchett, visitors can make their own way home or return to Violet Melchett with the team.

Great for those who would like:-A sense of community-To feel less isolated-To meet new people in the local community-To feel connected with nature - To do some exercise.

The Community Corner team put a lot of effort into these events, alongside running a busy drop-in service. Whilst these events are free to attend, they are not free to run!

If you can no longer attend please let us know in good time so that we can offer these spaces to others.
