Wellness Fest

Bastion Community of Resilience, America’s first intentional living community for injured veterans and their families, is hosting a Wellness Fest on Saturday, June 22. This free event is open to the public. All are welcome to celebrate health and wellness with the Bastion veteran community!
Sponsored by Humana Healthy Horizons in Louisiana, Bastion’s Wellness Fest will include wellness vendors, free health screenings, entertainment, and community-based practitioners providing yoga, a sound bath, acupuncture, cupping, massage, and other group and individual wellness sessions free of cost.
Here at Bastion, we recognize that there are many paths to wellness, and we would like to share access and information about the resources our veteran community utilizes with the greater New Orleans community.
This festive day will kick off at 11 a.m. with a special groundbreaking ceremony for our new Veteran Wellness Center, which will serve as a resource hub for veterans all across New Orleans and increase our capacity to offer expanded programming and onsite services.
Wellness Fest attendees will enjoy free food from local food trucks, water and other beverages to stay hydrated, a children’s bounce house, and a DJ.
