Foraging and Growing Workshops coming to Wellington all the way from Christchurch. No need for prior knowledge we will learn everything from scratch.Workshop description:
We'll explore who fungi are as beings repeat the main interesting understandings from the introduction to fungi workshop and pick up where we've left off exploring different kind of fungi and concentrate on decomposers and particularly on oyster mushrooms as they have proved to be one of the most efficient, fast and easiest to grow.
Oyster mushrooms can be grown sustainably unlike many other fungi and they are known to eat plastics, petroleum and even glyphosade although research is scarse) and might help to rid the planet of some issues.
We'll learn how to get them once and keep growing forever on many different things, suggesting them different foods. Practically materials at hand to make it all truly sustainable. Some fungi will be shared as well for you to start growing right after the workshop.

REGISTRATION IS Essential the event is number of registered people dependent.
50$ per person per workshop, 80$ for 2 ppl within a family, children are free, animals are welcome. Spaces are limited.
Volunteers of non profit organization's and community gardeners are welcome to apply for free or koha or vegetables/produce from their gardens. please indicate upon registration, numbers are limited. Warning: an hour before the workshop we are having a healthy food potluck, bring your cuppas and a spare one in case someone forgets and a healthy food platter to share with others if you're joining. I will have some interesting edibles to share <3
