A free workshop focused on helping people think about their overall well-being and expand on the things they do for themselves, outside of the gym.If you would like to attend, please fill our the google form in the discussion section of this page.
This is open to the public, so even if you are not a member of the Unbreakable Training community, you are more than welcome to come join in the discussion.
This will be covering Te Whare Tapa Whā, a health model developed by Sir Mason Durie in 1984. The model describes health and wellbeing as a wharenui with four walls.
These walls represent taha wairua/spiritual wellbeing, taha hinengaro/mental and emotional wellbeing, taha tinana/physical wellbeing and taha whānau/family and social wellbeing. Our connection with the whenua/land forms the foundation.
These aspects connect and interrelate to form our overall well-being, meaning when just one is out of sync the rest can suffer too. Working on ways to support all these pillars can be challenging. This workshop aims to provide an introduction to the the model, and simple ways to improve each of these aspects. This discussion hopes to get you thinking more about the small changes you can make to your lifestyle to help make supporting your overall well-being that much easier.
Bring your friends and family, and join in for a chat about being an overall healthier person.
