About this Event
Join Mhairi from the Somerset Nature Connections Project for a free Wellbeing Walk - an opportunity to explore the positive effect that nature can have on our wellbeing. Mhairi is an experienced facilitator of our Nature and Wellbeing Courses and other nature connection activites, who will guide you on a short walk across the Mendip Hills AONB from Charterhouse Activity Centre.
Please note that you will need a reasonable level of mobility to walk across uneven ground for the duration of the session (2hrs). However, the walk will be slow paced as you will be taking time to notice the natural world, listening to birdsong and feeling the sun warm your skin (hopefully!). The walk will be appropriate for people who are able to walk quietly in the presence of others and engage in mindfulness activities - we recommend this might make it unsuitable for people under the age of 14. We also ask that you do not bring your dog with you in case this affects other peoples experience negatively.
Places are limited to a maximum of 10, so reserve your place ASAP! And please let us know if you are no longer able to make it so we can offer your space to someone else. If places are full please book one of the waiting list tickets so we can let you know if a space becomes available.
*The SNC Project is a partnership project between the Somerset Wildlife Trust and the Mendip, Quantock and Blackdown Hills AONB's. You can find out more about our project here: https://www.somersetwildlife.org/wildlife/nature-wellbeing/somerset-nature-connections
