Learning Objectives
· Understand what fatigue is and why fatigue is important in healthcare.
· Recognise the real-life impact of fatigue (case studies).
· Understand the causes of fatigue – sleep and body clock.
· How shift work can impact fatigue.
· Be able to utilise practical tips for managing fatigue in staff.
· Understand fatigue tools available and how to use them.
· Gain an understanding of how to and who to escalate to.
Target audience:
University Hospitals Tees staff.
If you are a non-medical registrant who is eligible for Continual Professional Development (CPD) funding this course will account as part of your annual allowance for CPD funding.
