Reminder: MIG welding workshop will take place on 2.5. (in two weeks). We start at 10:00 AM, Saturday. In this workshop we will learn some practical tips on how to use the MIG welder at Base.
Electrode welding will be covered very briefly as I really really suck at it but maybe in favor of more efficient turn-taking, we might have a go with that one as well.
If you have some steel you want to weld, bring it. Otherwise we will learn on the steel scraps that are at base already.
We are limited by only one MIG welder so after some theory first, we will need to take turns on practicing.
Dont expect serious professionalism, I do not have experience welding SpaceX's rocket hulls. The focus will be on the basics and removing the initial potential fear that might be associated with using this tool.
