Welcoming Life in a New Land: Pregnancy and Birth in Ontario
About this Event
Are you planning to start a family, expecting a baby, or supporting a friend or family member through pregnancy?
Join us for an informative workshop exploring pregnancy and birth care options in Ontario. Participants will learn about the two primary care providers available to pregnant individuals—Midwives and Obstetricians—and gain a better understanding of their roles in prenatal care, labour, birth, and postpartum support.
During this session, we will discuss:
- The differences between Midwives and Obstetricians
- The services each profession offers
- How to choose the care provider that best meets your needs
- When and how to access maternity care services in Ontario
- Community programs and initiatives in Toronto that support pregnant individuals and families
- Resources available to newcomers and growing families
Whether you are expecting, planning for the future, or simply interested in learning more, this workshop will provide valuable information to help you make informed decisions about pregnancy and childbirth care.
All are welcome!
