Welcoming Day
Sometimes being new to town doesn't mean arriving last week.
It might mean you've been here six months, a year, or even a couple of years and you're still figuring things out. Still finding your people. Still discovering what's available in the community. Still working out where you fit.
Each month there are roughly 30 families who are moving to town and will call the Upper Clutha home, so you are not alone.
That's why Community Link, Queenstown Lakes Libraries and Welcoming Communities are hosting our very first Welcoming Day.
A relaxed afternoon where you can meet other people who are also finding their feet, connect with local organisations, learn about community groups and services, and discover more of what makes this place home.
Pop it in the diary now for the whole family.
📅 29 July, 3.30pm – 6.30pm at the Wānaka Community Hub
Whether you've just arrived or you're still feeling "new-ish", we'd love to see you there.
Because feeling connected doesn't happen overnight, but it often starts with meeting someone else just like you and a simple conversation. Wanaka Community Hub Queenstown Lakes District Libraries Radio Wānaka Wanaka Wastebusters Wanaka App Hawea Playgroup Hāwea Hotel
