Welcoming & Belonging Through Everyday Advocacy

Join us during Welcoming Week for a volunteer workshop focused on the everyday ways we can practice advocating for new neighbors from a place of bridging and connection.
On Monday, September 14th at 5pm at St. Luke's we'll explore ways to have difficult conversations with curiosity and compassion, use tools from Nonviolent Communication to navigate disagreement, and build relationships across differences.
Belonging is about more than making people feel included, it’s about contributing to a community where we can listen to one another, disagree without dehumanizing each other, and find common ground without giving up our values.
This free workshop is open to new and existing NNC volunteers and community members who are interested in learning how to engage in uncomfortable conversations openly and vulnerably.
