Welcome Training for church members

The church is the body of Christ and light to the world. Empowered by the Holy Spirit it has proclaimed and lived the Gospel to see people and nations transformed.

However, too often we lack the confidence and skill to model and present church to the community around us and this can be especially the case in our welcome. What are the factors that might attract a person to our church and will they be welcomed enough to consider staying?

This free training evening will offer practical ideas and experience on how to be a welcoming place and welcoming people. In a fun and interactive way we will look at the Gospel and welcome principles, how our buildings can become more welcoming for newcomers and how we can be more welcoming as a church people.

This practical training is for church members of all ages and backgrounds because it is you that can be the difference that makes a welcoming church.

The evening begins at 7:30pm and will finish around 9:15pm. A training brochure is provided.
