In this era new music scenes exploded all over the anglophone world, in places ranging from New York and London to Akron and Manchester. A DIY ethos reigned as bands formed, independent labels were launched, and creativity and experimentation exploded.
Fresh off their Elton John tribute, Speak Low will be ripping through tunes by everyone from Blondie to Joy Division to Talking Heads to The Cure and many, many more. Come reexperience the energy and vitality of this critical era in British and American pop.
