Welcome to the Menagerie Art Exhibit by Ginny Loving

Come join us for a magical opening reception Friday, July 26th from 6 pm – 8 pm. The event is free and open to the public and parking is provided and free at Art Works located in the heart of the Manchester Neighborhod in Richmond.

Loving composes extravagant characters in her Menagerie from hand sculpted porcelain. Her collection of what she refers to as her darlings are colorful, mischievous and curious beings, with fine detail that nearly seems to come to life.

Lovings‘s collection includes skull sculptures that are powerful and expressive. Although they are created independently, they are rooted in myths of the past. They express the complexity of human existence, stripped bare, raw, and barren. Some sculptures are pierced and punctured, as if they open up access to other worlds that the works seem to reflect.
