Welcome Porch Leaner Workshop - Aug 22 - Coconut Barrel

Create a handcrafted porch leaner designed to bring charm to your front door, entryway, patio, or porch.

Join us for a fun and easy for all class (even if you think you’re not crafty). Step by step, we will lead you through this guided project. You will have a 4 foot tall x 10 inch wide and 1 inch thick white pine wood board to stencil and get creative on.

When you register, you will select your design. Sayings include one of the following:

• Welcome - with the option to replace the “O” with a coastal themed stencil shape such as a sea star, turtle, sand dollar, or shell.
• The Beach is Calling and I Must Go
• Gone to the Beach
• Welcome to Our Home (pumpkin is the "O" in home)
• Football Time

Then once you are in the class, you will:

• Select your color palette for both the background and the lettering.
• Stain your board with water-based, no fumes, Dixie Belle VooDoo Gel Stain (choice of colors in tones of brown or gray)
• Add a base pop of color with water-based Chalk Mineral Paint in a variety of chalk mineral paint colors to compliment your home
• Stencil beautiful lettering / design(s)
• Seal for durability and water resistance

No experience is necessary! We provide all of your supplies. You bring your smile and perhaps an apron or wear comfortable painting clothes and not your best apparel. You will leave with a finished statement piece ready to proudly display and enjoy.

FUTURE BONUS:

After participating in this class, you have the option to bring your leaner board back and stencil the reverse side for only $25. Most people enjoy creating this additional seasonal design in a future class with sayings like: Football Time, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Merry Beachmas, Deck the Palms, and more!

Here is an example of the Welcome sign with the letter "O" replaced with a turtle. You can decide to keep the "O" as well.

As with any sign, you select day of the class your background color, and colors for your lettering. We will have a large variety of paint colors to choose from and if you have a special request in advance just message me via Facebook at @CreateWithLuanne or email me at [email protected]
