About this Event

WELCOME HOME: A Journey into Belonging

As summer begins to pull us outward towards events, festivals, workshops, etc., are you longing for a place to land? Do you crave a deeper sense of belonging—not only with others but within yourself? Are you ready to remember what it feels like to truly come home?

If something inside you is a nudge towards yes... join us for a heartfelt journey into belonging through a day long Contact Beyond Contact dance workshop and evening DJ set.

We will explore what it means to feel at home in our own bodies, at home in community, and at home in human connection. Through movement, reflection, and guided CBC practices, we will create a space where we can arrive exactly as we are.

In a world that often asks us to perform, protect, or prove ourselves, this workshop invites us to return to sensation, presence, the wisdom of the body, and the healing power of connection. Through movement, touch (always consensual), presence, and shared humanity, we will practice the art of relational embodied dance. We will discover how authenticity creates connection, how boundaries create trust, and how vulnerability can become a doorway to deeper belonging.

As we intentionally blend solo, partner, and group explorations with guided Contact Beyond Contact Dance (CBC), we will co-create a living field of belonging—one where every person is invited to participate at their own pace and according to their own boundaries.

Through gentle guidance, curiosity, play, and deep listening, we will explore:

  • Listen to our bodies
  • How to cultivate safety and trust within ourselves and community
  • What helps us feel at home with others
  • Communicate without words
  • The dance between individuality and belonging
  • The courage to be seen as we are
  • The gift of connection and presence

Over the course of our time together, we will move beyond roles, masks, and expectations and into a space where we can remember something ancient and essential:

That home is not a place we find. It is a way of being.

And sometimes, we remember it most clearly in the presence of others who are willing to meet us there.

MORE ON CBC

Contact Beyond Contact (CBC) is a dance, healing, and relational practice that integrates body, mind, heart, and spirit. Through movement, authentic expression, and conscious connection, CBC offers opportunities for personal growth, emotional healing, and meaningful human connection.

The practice supports participants in developing greater self-awareness, embodied communication, relational intelligence, and trust in themselves and others. It invites us to move beyond habitual patterns and into a more authentic experience of being alive and connected.

Tink Bio:

Tink started DJing in 2023 by way of PHDJ, a professional DJ training program led by embodiment facilitator and NY DJ Tasha Blank. Since then, she's been making a name for herself in the Chicago-Madison-Milwaukee area both as a DJ and facilitator and host of community events.

Her philosophy: break the box you’re living in and blaze a new path that’s fully yours. Tink wants to see you fully tapped into your own vibrant radiofrequency. Her distinctive blend of house, electronic, and world music create an atmosphere primed with permission to move freely and a flirtatious invitation to free the animal inside your body so that it can live untamed and wild in the jungle of your full & electric heart.

Matthew Bio:: Matthew Stackowicz is a contact beyond contact level 3 dance facilitator, embodiment coach, ceremonialist, sacred circle facilitator, breathwork guide, shamanic reiki master, international photographer, retreat facilitator, and father of two amazing children. His home base is in South Bend, IN but he travels the world to lead sacred circles, retreats, dance and embodiment workshops and photographs humans in connection to their own hearts and each other. He currently hosts sacred circles, embodiment practices, dance containers, and other workshops in South Bend, IN, Chicago, IL, and other nearby locations. After decades of disconnection to self, body, emotions, purpose, and other humans, he hit rock bottom and started the slow but necessary process of personal transformation and growth. He now lives to serve others on their own personal transformation story.

*Cacao will be available for purchase by the cup.
